The Briefing Ritual: How We Start Every Project

Every project at Archivora starts the same way: ninety minutes, one room, no laptops. We call it the briefing ritual, and it has saved more projects than any design review ever has.
Questions before answers
We ask the client to describe the project in one sentence, then to describe failure. The gap between those two answers is where the real brief lives.
Write it down, say it back
The ritual ends with a one-page document read aloud. If anyone flinches, we rewrite it. Alignment is cheaper on day one than on day ninety.
